Gender And Development Training

Years of war and conflict in Afghanistan have had a serious impact on human development in the country. Women are often left behind to struggle and support their families without any means. Gender based discrimination and abuse is also a constant factor.

This project has been initiated to promote gender sensitive development in Afghanistan. It reviews the changes that have occurred in the field of gender and development and explores the role of development workers within the communities. It also aims to increase the understanding of basic gender concepts and its link with development. To this end, training is organised for the community members and follow-up is done in collaboration with local partners. The objective is to bring positive change in personal and professional attitudes of the participants.
