With CWS-P/A as the main health provider in the district, it distributed essential cholera kits to its Nangahar Laghman Health Program (NLHP) facilities. In addition a two-day training and awareness session on the epidemic was conducted with twenty-eight health facility staff members and doctors. An in-depth training methodology was used to provide health staff members and doctors with comprehensive knowledge on cholera.
CWS-P/A believes that taking a lead role to effectively address the health needs of community members is vital. This has been part of the organization’s approach to help save lives while reducing risk and the burden of disease.
