  • Violence Against Christians in Gojra

    • Location Gojra, Punjab, Pakistan
    • Duration 2 months, August 2009 - Septmeber 2009
    • Beneficiaries 111 households
    • To assist the affected families by providing food.
    • To assist the most vulnerable families, including women and children.
    • To protect families from further deterioration of health.
  • Food Packages for IDPs in Northwest Pakistan

    • Location Swabi and Mardan Districts, Kyber Paktunkhwa, Pakistan
    • Duration 5 months, June 2009 - October 2009
    • Beneficiaries 13,500 households
    • To raise awareness of income generation and entrepreneurship through seminars and trainings.
    • To work towards establishing income generation sources for women for their economic stability by distribution of kitchen gardening kits to 500 women, and provision of small business loans to 90 women.
  • Kandahar Returnee Reintegration Project

    • Program Area Disaster Management
    • Location Dand, Daman, and Panjwaiee Districts, Kandahar, Afghanistan
    • Duration 1 year and 2 months, September 2008 - December 2009
    • Beneficiaries 2,720 returnees
    • Provide Cash-For-Work opportunities to refugees/IDP/deserving community members.
    • Raise awareness among target community members on cross-cutting issues related to development, such as conflict resolution, environmental sustainability, and gender relations.
    • Provide skill development training, necessary basic materials and market linkage for women returnees in the target area.
    • Provide technical training on road, irrigation channel and water point maintenance, rehabilitation, operation and sustainability to members of the target area.
    • Develop water points fitted with hand pumps in the target areas.
    • Rehabilitate and develop link of roads.
    • Rehabilitate and develop irrigation canals.
