  • Sri Lanka: Humanitarian Quality and Accountability Capacity Building

    • Duration 2 and a half months, June 20th - September 6th 2009
    • Beneficiaries Lutheran World Relief implementing partners and ACP members in Sri Lanka
    • To enhance the capacity of humanitarian workers in basic knowledge and understanding of Sphere and HAP Standards.
    • To raise awareness about HAP and Sphere initiatives among Lutheran World Relief partners in Sri Lanka.
    • To share lessons and experiences among the participants.
    • To develop future plans to ensure that the knowledge gained during the training is reflected during implementation of all the projects in future.

  • Capacity Building of Humanitarian Workers in Sphere Minimum Standards

    • Program Area Quality and Accountability
    • Location Swabi, Mardan, Abottabad, Islamabad and Peshawar
    • Duration 6 months, July - December 2010
    • Beneficiaries 195 humanitarian workers and 20 trainers
    • To equip 100 humanitarian workers in basic knowledge of Sphere.
    • To produce 20 new trainers on Sphere.
    • To enhance skills of 75 humanitarian workers already possessing basic knowledge on Sphere.
  • IDP Humanitarian Accountability: Capacity Strengthening of Aid Agencies

    • Program Area Quality and Accountability
    • Location Pakistan
    • Duration 4 months, August - December 2010
    • Beneficiaries CWS-P\/A, partner national NGOs, HAP member agencies and indirect - IDPs
    • Developing capacity of the aid workers and aid agencies through trainings and technical support to deliver more accountable and quality services to the beneficiaries.
